Tessa's first bruise!

Tessa got her first bruise today! She has had a few minor scratches from her fingernails but this is her first real bruise.

Lately when she is sitting she will lean forward onto her arms, tilt her bottom off the floor and push up. She has a hard time getting both legs and feet behind her and it ends up looking like this:

She will end up falling forward and laying on her belly usually. Well she was doing the above move while playing on the floor with Jonny this evening. She was about to face plant into her basket of books, so Jonny tried to help her out by moving the stuck foot back. Well this messed up her balance and instead of saving her from face planting, he helped her do it. Yes, Jonny caused the bruise.

After she fell she was of course pissed. She screamed bloody murder. It was time for her to take a nap anyway, so I ended up comforting her and she fell asleep in my arms. To make her feel even better I let her sleep on me and I took a nap as well. Ok, so maybe this benefited me as well since I was able to take a nap too, but whatever...

Here's a pic of Tessa's bruise. It's under her right eye (that means it's on the left side of the picture though). So far it's only red but we'll see how it looks tomorrow. Poor girl!
